We are the Friends of Taylor Head Park Society: a dynamic group committed to the park’s preservation and education about its natural history.

A Strong and Healthy Community

Our Societies’ Board of Directors, Officers, and Event Leaders are all volunteers. However, we have obligatory expenses funded by modest annual membership fees and donations. The province requires liability insurance, which is our biggest expense. Membership fees and donations help cover this ongoing expense and other incidental expenses. The support and participation of members help build a strong and healthy community in our region.

What we do for our members and all park users

Extended Park Access

Our partnership agreement with the Province keeps the park gate open until early December and sometimes earlier in the spring.

Events Program

During the year, we offer a program of interpreted walks and outings to enhance the enjoyment and experience of park users. These events are free to all.

Advocacy

Partnership status enables us to collaborate with park officials and our political representatives on issues of common concern to the benefit of all park users.
